Poole Borough Band came second out of the other bands in the second section yesterday and 8th overall. One of the band’s favourites, Purcell Variation (K. Downie), was our test piece of choice for the Wessex Winter Contest 2022 at Talbot Heath Hub, Bournemouth. Our principle cornet, Richard Baczala, received a 50 years award.
It was a lovely day for the local brass band community and the band would like to thank the committee and volunteers of the Wessex Brass Band Association for all their hard work.
